What is Kandiyohi County Pheasants Forever?

Kandiyohi County Pheasants Forever is a local chapter of Pheasants Forever, a national
conservation organization dedicated to the protection, restoration, and enhancement of wildlife habitat. Our chapter focuses on improving habitat and conservation efforts right
here in Kandiyohi County and surrounding areas.

What is the mission of Pheasants Forever?

Our mission is conservation, education, and habitat preservation. We work to improve
upland wildlife habitat, support responsible hunting traditions, and educate youth and
adults about conservation and outdoor ethics.

How can I become a member?

You can become a member by joining Pheasants Forever at the national level. A portion of
your membership dues comes back to our local chapter to fund conservation projects and programs in Kandiyohi County.

What does the local chapter do?

Our chapter funds and supports local habitat projects, works with landowners and
conservation partners, hosts fundraising events and banquets, supports youth education and outreach programs, and promotes conservation awareness in our community.

How are funds raised by the chapter used?

Funds raised locally stay local. They are used to support habitat projects, youth programs, conservation education, equipment purchases, and partnerships that directly benefit
Kandiyohi County and the surrounding region.

Do I need to be a hunter to be involved?

Not at all. While hunting heritage is an important part of Pheasants Forever, many of our members do not hunt. Anyone who cares about conservation, wildlife habitat, clean water,
and outdoor recreation is welcome.

How can I volunteer?

We are always looking for volunteers to help with fundraising events and banquets, habitat
projects, youth programs and mentorship, or committee and board involvement. Volunteer
opportunities vary throughout the year.

I’m a landowner—how can Pheasants Forever help me?

Pheasants Forever works with landowners to improve wildlife habitat through
conservation programs, technical guidance, and partnerships with state and federal
agencies.

Do you offer youth or educational programs?

Yes. Supporting the next generation of conservationists is a priority. Our chapter helps fund youth education, outdoor skills development, and conservation programs that teach safety, ethics, and respect for the land.

When do you hold meetings or events?

Meeting dates, events, and fundraisers vary throughout the year. The best way to stay
informed is to follow our chapter on social media or check our website regularly for updates.

How can I support Kandiyohi County Pheasants Forever if I can’t volunteer?

You can support us by becoming a member, attending fundraising events, making a donation, sponsoring an event or item, or spreading awareness about our mission. Don't forget to follow us on Facebook!
